mother’s day

I can’t help but proclaim to the world what a wonderful first Mother’s Day I had.  I woke up to breakfast in bed prepared by Peter.  Eggs, toast, cereal, yogurt, applesauce.  Yum.  Then he gave me a “coupon” for a full night’s rest and a gift certificate that I had asked for so I could buy some nice pyjamas (the old-oversized t-shirt and fleece Wal-Mart polar bear pants aren’t cutting it anymore).  After church we went to Kirk & Vivian’s and I actually got to sit down and visit with Vivian and Lois because the men prepared the meal.  Peter took care of Eva for majority of the day.  I felt so peaceful and relaxed.  Apparently he was feeling stressed.  Then I went to bed and I was able to sleep 9.5 hours straight!  Peter stayed in the other room with Eva and gave her formula throughout the night.  The last time I slept that long without even getting out of bed once was probably when I was about 6 months pregnant.  It was amazing!  What a wonderful and thoughtful husband :)

Sounds like Pete gave you the pampering you deserve, Chels; that’s awesome! I really like Eva amongst the daisies, too.
