Okay, so my math last week wasn’t exactly accurate. We aren’t halfway through yet, but we’re getting close! My brain has been doing funny things since having a baby! Anyway, here is what we did this past week.
May 26, 2012 – Eva and Ezra outside playing in the warm weather. I love that our house is laid out so that I can send them to the backyard to play but still see and hear them. It was a must when we were looking for a new house to rent last year and I’m so glad I insisted.
May 27, 2012 – Peter was away at YC all weekend and we stayed home from church today. Isaac helped me (by sleeping) fold laundry.
May 28, 2012 – Isaac is more and more interested in trying to grab whatever is in front of him. It makes it pretty difficult for me to use my phone or read or do anything with him on my lap! Here he is trying to grab my phone. He is so cute as he tries to grab for things: the lips stick out as he focuses with all his might, his eyes locked on the object, and slowly, slowly with all his concentration those little hands reach forward. Once he has said object in his hands, the mouth opens and the toy slowly but surely makes its way there!
May 29, 2012 – Ezra was so tired at lunch, he looked like he might fall asleep at the table! He asked to get down and then he said “wanna go bed”. I took him up to his room and he was asleep within two minutes! Of course, as soon as he was out this little thumbsucker woke up. But he’s a happy little thumbsucker so it was okay.
May 30, 2012 – I managed to fit 5 kids in my van! My friend and 2/3 of her kids and I (with 3/3 of my kids) went to Moms and Tots and then to Ikea for lunch after and shopping.
May 31, 2012 – For a few days now, Eva had mentioned a sore throat, and this morning she woke up with a bit of a fever and a very croupy cough. We kept her home from school for the day to rest. I talked to her teacher and she told me that the class would be praying for Eva. I love her school!
June 1, 2012 – Last time the Ice Cream truck came by I told Eva that next time we would get some. So just as we were heading upstairs to go to bed last night, guess who came by? I decided to make good on my promise and ran out the door with my girl in her mermaid costume, Ezra in Spiderman pajamas and baby on my hip to get some ice cream. I admit, $3.00 for one fudgsicle is pretty steep but it’s all about the experience, right? Both Eva and Ezra were so excited!
