Outside my window there is snow on the rooftops. Last week it was really warm (for January); one day it was even 9 degrees! Snow was melting and it felt like Spring. I could even see green grass! But on Friday, the temperature dropped, snow began falling, and everything is covered again. At least everything looks fresh and clean!
I am thinking about what to make for supper. Sundays are always hard when it comes to suppertime. Or easy, depending on how you look at it. Because we are all usually so hungry after church, we often have our big meal at lunch time. Today was chinese food from Imperial Dynasty. So now, it is almost 6, and no one is super hungry, but we still have to eat something… the kids go to bed in about an hour! (Actually, Ezra won’t tonight, he got up early and messed up his nap schedule, so he’ll probably be up a bit later tonight!)
I am thankful for baby snuggles. Ezra just woke up and he really loves to snuggle after his naps.
From the kitchen, I see a mess. Yikes. Dishwasher needs to be unloaded, dirty dishes are everywhere. And of course, Ezra’s food is scattered all over the floor. I have to sweep the floor 2-3 times a day usually!
I am wearing skinny jeans, black blouse, brown cardigan.
I am creating images of my own children! I had fun taking a couple of quick pictures of Eva and Ezra today. I would like to take pictures of them every day, doing our every day things. I don’t want to forget our lives!
I am going to grow a lot and get much closer to God this year. I am being intentional about my time spent studying and praying.
I am reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. This is the second book in the series. Until this past month I had never read any of the HP books or seen any of the movies. My plan is to read a book, watch the movie, read a book, watch the movie, so on and so forth until the very last movie comes out in the theatres this June. Hope I can keep up, there is lots to read and I don’t have much time for leisurely reading!
I am hoping to start getting up early before my kids, to read and to study. Check out the Inspired to Action – Maximize Your Mornings Winter Challenge for more details!
I am hearing Clifford the Big Red Dog. Eva is watching it :)
Around the house there are toys and dirty dishes everywhere! And I really need to vacuum. I’ve been thinking that for a week. Or two. I usually make a point of tidying the house every day, but today is Sunday and I like to be lazy on Sundays. Buuuuut, I’ll still probably tidy up tonight after Eva goes to bed.
One of my favourite things is enjoying an afternoon latte. Right now, my favourite at home flavour is Cinnamon Dolce latte. My friend works at Starbucks and graciously buys me syrups with her discount and gives me free espresso beans from her weekly mark out. That’s another one of my favourite things.
A few plans for the rest of the week:
– editing a wedding and two portrait sessions
– Moms and Tots on Wednesday
– dinner on Friday night with my friend, Rebecca, before youth group
