yesterday was peter’s birthday.
he doesn’t get as excited about birthdays as i do, so i had to improvise with this photo.
and then i wanted to brag about him a little bit.
my husband is so great. he is an amazing daddy. my children are so lucky to have such a fun and loving daddy. he works hard all day, both at his job and bearing the burden of all of our stressful responsibilities. stuff that is way over my head. and he does it all for me, so i don’t have to. then he comes home and i know he would love to just sit and do nothing for the rest of the day but instead he plays hard with eva and they run and wrestle and laugh until i think i’m about to lose my mind because they are so loud. but i love it, because i imagine what it is like for eva to have her daddy come home and play with her like that, to show her so much attention and care. i know he pushes himself so that she can have a better time; he puts off what he wants, to give her something she would like. lately, he is constantly telling me how much he loves me and how beautiful i am, and really taking the time to make me feel special and cared for. he works hard to support our family so that i can be at home with our kids and strongly encourages me in my sewing hobby and my photography. he leads our family in many ways and takes care of us, one of those ways is as a spiritual leader. he is very wise, and takes care to align his life with God’s spirit. our life would not be what it is today if we didn’t decide many years ago (and every day since then) that we would live our lives that way. i have only God to thank for literally answering my prayer and leading me to meet Peter. so far we have had an amazing journey together and i am so looking forward to the rest of the story.
happy birthday peter!
