I’ve been anti-blog lately. Okay, well I’ve enjoyed reading them, but not writing them, so I guess I’m actually anti-blog-writing. But I’m forcing myself to come back. I even had to log in. It’s been a while since I’ve had to do that.
This morning I went to Willows Beach with my friend Kim. It was my first time at this particular beach, and I’m not sure why because all I’ve heard about it from the locals is that it is the nicest one in Victoria. They actually bring in sand for the beach there, so it’s a very well-kept beach, and the sand is lovely. I though all the beaches in Victoria would be sandy and it would be warm all the time, and we could go swimming in the ocean whenever we wanted. I thought we were moving to California, I guess. All beaches here are rocky and the water is cold, and it rains a lot (somehow I forgot that part!). But this beach was beautiful and fun and today was so warm. It was a great morning.
Now I’m editing, well actually photoshop is doing a batch edit for me right now, so I’m waiting for it to finish. Business has been good. Crazy. I’m booked now until the end of November. How did that happen?
Pete’s mowing the lawn. Yesterday was Father’s Day and Pete decided he wanted to go bear hunting, and that I should go with him. I told him I would be very sad if he shot the bear, probably crying and stuff, being really girly on his big hunt. But he still insisted. We packed something to eat, and hit the road, leaving Eva behind. With a babysitter of course. We didn’t see any bears. But it was still good to get away, to get out of the city for a bit. I miss Saskatchewan road trips, and going away for a weekend here or there. It seems I’m always in Victoria, no where else to go… no where that’s cheap anyway!
I’m getting pretty excited for the big Close family reunion in a couple of weeks. Just got the word that Blair, Melissa and the girls will be coming. Nice. Camping afterward with Mark and Melissa should be fun as well. I just can’t wait to see all you crazy Close/Roberts’. John and I are going to find laptops so we can talk to each other on Facebook while we’re there. There’ll be none of this “in person” discussion.
Anyway, photoshop is waiting for me.
I love you all. I love comments too. I think I’m addicted. So please leave a few and let me know that you are happy I haven’t dropped off the face of the blogosphere. It will make me smile.
