Yesterday Eva and I dropped Peter off at the building around 9AM. We cruised down Shelbourne Street and headed downtown. Yes, we had the car and we were ready for a day of exploring. Diaper bag? Check. Camera? Check. Stoller? Check. Baby? Check.
We started off in Chinatown. We strolled and strolled and took picture after picture. We made a hair appointment for next week. We shopped around the Patch.
Then our meter ran out and we hopped in the car and headed for Dallas Road. A nice drive along the coast and then taking a left to arrive at Beacon Hill Park. Eva caught a bite to eat and we were off again, this time in the Snugli.

We went to the petting zoo. Then we packed up again and I decided to take Eva to the Blue Fox Cafe for her first time. She slept through the whole thing. But I had a wonderful veggie quesadilla. And I got lots of extra attention from the waitress. It helps to have an adorable baby with you.
After that, Eva cried all the way from Fort and Quadra to Kirk & Viv’s house. She was hungry. Must’ve been the great smells at the Blue Fox.
When Bethany got home we went and delivered papers with her and Keya. We walked to Fairway Market. And Tim Horton’s. I cheated my no-sugar healthy living guide. I had an Iced Cappucino with chocolate milk, but I regretted the milk decision. Cream all the way. The calories are worth it.
After all that time outside, Eva went to sleep at 7:00. She usually stays up until 11PM. This time she stayed asleep until 7:30AM, only waking to eat. No, she’s not yet sleeping through the night.
So anyway, that was our day. It was good for the spirit. Fresh air, exploration, engaging in a favourite pass-time, eating at your favourite restaurant and taking your favourite girl to a bunch of sweet places.
Today we spent the whole day inside.
